Mostly Mets

Everyone must go! Or at least that's what it felt like since we last had our show. Today we discuss the many moves the Mets made, including the returns they received from each trade. No move, though, could save David Stearns from receiving a failing grade. There also were dozens of deals made throughout MLB, but one blockbuster stands out as it also stirs controversy. We then round out the show by talking through the Mets' week ahead. One they'll spend in The Land and The Pitt. This 2026 season sure has put us fans through it. So, let's talk who's out the door and what these final two months have in store.

After another losing week, we'll talk about the teams the Mets could trade with, and whose prospects they could acquire to make their future look a little less bleak. We'll talk about the decision made by LeBron James, and in the road ahead talk about the '86 Mets 40th anniversary celebration as we fans yearn for the day when we can celebrate such a feat again. After a series win to open the schedule after the break, we talk about what these next two weeks before the trade deadline has at stake. Who are the players destined to go and who are the ones whose chances of departing are more so, so. The World Cup had a wonderful run, that much we know. Then, lastly, we'll discuss the cultures and identities of the Mets' next two foes as they could learn a few things from both the Brewers and Dodgers as they aim to recover from recent woes. We've mercifully reached the All-Star break. You know what that means! Midterm grades are in. And we bring in a special guest to go through our midseason rankings. We also talk about the epic matchups coming up this week at the World Cup. Then we round out the show by discussing the road ahead. Hopefully this won't be a 2nd half we Met fans dread. 

The Mets lose a series once again and begin the week on the verge of losing one more. We'll break down this latest stretch of play that's ultimately slammed the playoffs' door. We have reaction to Steve Cohen’s podcast appearance, including giving credence to the reporter friction between Soto and Lindor. There’s the World Cup to discuss as teams look to advance to round four. After a 2-4 week, we're backing to believing that this Mets season is just gonna be bleak. The starting pitching can't sustain a win streak, and its marquee acquisition this offseason is delivering duds, having us fans turn to the suds. I also highlight a trip taken to Detroit to see the Tigers play. The baseball shaped Ferris Wheel alone made my stay. And if you're wondering about this episode's title, well let's just say it tends to define whether our favorite team wins. Appreciate you joining again!

The decades-long drought is over. New York's orange and blue are champions at last! No, not the Mets. But the Knicks fulfilled their destiNY, capturing their first title in 53 years. We put a bow on their season as we continue to bask in the glow. Meanwhile the Mets, well they're still very stop & go. For how long? Nobody knows. Appreciate you listening to show!

After a series loss in the Emerald City, the Mets followed the yellow (and brown) brick road down to San Diego and rebounded with a series win. Now winners of 7 of its last 10, we'll discuss them trying to build momentum as they head home again. Meanwhile, the Knicks Texas two-stepped their way through San Antonio to a 2-0 series lead. We'll preview the next two games at MSG. Then we round out the show talking about the homestand up ahead with series matchups against two longtime N.L. foes, with the hope that the Mets' confidence grows.
