Mostly Mets

After consecutive winning weeks, the Mets were unable to extend that streak. Instead, losing in walk-off fashion multiple times in the same series. On this week's episode, we'll discuss the up and down nature of the team's past 6 games. We'll bask in the terrific play of the two Oklahoma State Cowboys, Carson Benge and Nolan McLean. Talk about our trip to Chicago that included stops and both Rate and Wrigley Field. The Mets continue swinging and they keep on winning! Another winning week that concludes with a 3-game sweep of the Nats, thanks to the team's bullpen and bats. On this week's episode, we'll delve into the Mets' spectacular performance over their past 12. We'll also say so long and farewell to a few people, including Tommy John, the patient of the sport's trailblazing surgery. Then we'll round out the show previewing the week ahead, one that sees the Mets play a series both at home and on the road. And we're going to Chicago! So, hop aboard and see what's in store.

For the first time since May, the Mets had a winning week at the conclusion of Sunday. On this week's episode, we'll talk about the team winning 5 of 6, thanks in large part to the effort swung by their sticks. We also highlight performances that could be a sign of better things to come. The kickoff of NFL preseason begins following Thursday's setting sun. Then there's the road ahead, where in order to take the season series against Atlanta, the Mets just need one. But why not take the series, too? Then they come home to play the Nationals in their red, white and blue. You'll join us, won't you?

Everyone must go! Or at least that's what it felt like since we last had our show. Today we discuss the many moves the Mets made, including the returns they received from each trade. No move, though, could save David Stearns from receiving a failing grade. There also were dozens of deals made throughout MLB, but one blockbuster stands out as it also stirs controversy. We then round out the show by talking through the Mets' week ahead. One they'll spend in The Land and The Pitt. This 2026 season sure has put us fans through it. So, let's talk who's out the door and what these final two months have in store.

After a 2-4 week, we're backing to believing that this Mets season is just gonna be bleak. The starting pitching can't sustain a win streak, and its marquee acquisition this offseason is delivering duds, having us fans turn to the suds. I also highlight a trip taken to Detroit to see the Tigers play. The baseball shaped Ferris Wheel alone made my stay.
